HealthyLine Platinum Mat
The innovation and combined benefits of HealthyLine’s Platinum series earned them the top scores.
The benefits of PEMF and far-infrared in one device is unmatched by any other competitor.
The Platinum series builds on this by including a one of a kind custom PEMF program.
Users can choose between 2 waveform types (square and sine), up to 25 frequency levels (Range: 1-25Hz), 3 pulse duration options, 5 intensity levels (Up to 3 Gauss), and all of these settings can be customized to create over 300 billion combinations.
With so many available combinations, the thought of 300 billion options can be overwhelming, so HealthyLine took the best overall combinations and created 10 pre-set 20 minute sessions and 2 pre-set 1 hour sessions.
This makes it really easy for anyone to experience the benefits of this powerful PEMF technology.
Another benefit of HealthyLine’s Platinum series is that the mats also include additional therapies.
LED lights emit photon light therapy and a combination of 5 precious gemstones (Tourmaline, Amethyst, Jade, Obsidian, Quartz) produce far-infrared negative ion, and hot stone therapy.
The Platinum series definitely leads in innovation and maximizing benefits, but its single year warranty allows competitors to remain close.
HealthyLine has a 45 day return policy, which is not the worst we’ve seen, but it’s also not the best.
The Platinum series makes up the difference in pricing.
Where competitor mats like the Bemer mat start at over $4,000, the Platinum series includes more benefits, more therapies, and only starts at $999.
You can choose from 4 different sizes of the Platinum series, 32”x20”, 60”x24”, 72”x24”, and 74”x28”.
Bemer Mat
Bemer Group may be the most popular name associated with PEMF therapy, as the company has been around since the 1990s.
Getting this head start within the industry provided Bemer with a lot of early benefits, including research studies and even a collaboration with NASA.
With that being said, how does the Bemer mat hold up in today’s PEMF market?
Bemer mats are designed to provide PEMF therapy to leg muscles, so there aren’t any accompanying therapies like far-infrared or negative ions as competing brands include in their PEMF mats.
Bemer mat’s PEMF therapy includes a patented waveform known as the Bemer Signal.
The Bemer Signal waveform is designed to slowly build up in intensity which provides a larger drop-off rate.
It is a top-selling point of Bemer mats.
Unfortunately, outside of the Bemer Signal, the Bemer mats fall short to the advanced PEMF technology that exists today.
For example, the Bemer mat does not come equipped with customized PEMF programming.
This is a huge downside when compared to competitors.
More downsides of Bemer’s PEMF technology include only two frequency levels (33 & 10Hz), one available pulsed duration, along with only one waveform in the Bemer Signal.
Bemer mats come with a 3 year warranty, which is the best warranty we’ve seen, however, with Bemer’s multi-level marketing platform, prices are relatively high, starting at $4,290.
EarthPulse
The EarthPulse is not a PEMF therapy mat, it is a digital controller that comes equipped with up to 4 electromagnets that emit PEMF.
The EarthPulse is marketed as a sleep aid device and is known for its powerful intensity levels.
The company has been in existence since 2002, developing its v1 device after being inspired by the studies of Royal Rife on electromagnetics.
Focusing on being a sleeping aid, the EarthPulse only features PEMF therapy.
Aside from being marketed as a sleeping aid, the EarthPulse is also known for its very high intensity levels.
With levels reaching 1,100 Gauss per magnet, it is easily the highest intensity levels of any of the PEMF devices reviewed.
Although the EarthPulse emits a high intensity, it is placed under your bed while being used.
As the signals travel through your mattress, the intensity decreases in strength.
The EarthPulse uses a square waveform and a frequency range between .5 and 14.4 Hz.
This frequency range falls between the recommended Earth frequency range of 0 – 30 Hz.
The EarthPulse comes with 14 preset programs and also includes a patented cross polarity local inductor.
The patented cross polarity local inductor is a “ring” placed on the electromagnet applicator that allows for dual-polarity magnetic fields (north & south simultaneously).
The EarthPulse comes in 5 options that include from 1 up to 4 electromagnets for each controller.
Prices range from $499 for the most basic V6 to $1999 for the ProPlus that comes equipped with 4 electromagnets.
There is a 90 day trial period and a 1 year warranty with a limited warranty after 1 year.
MagnaWave B2
Getting its start in 2005, MagnaWave is known for its powerful PEMF devices.
This is largely due to MagnaWave’s strong presence in the Equestrian field.
MagnaWave’s PEMF devices are not exclusive to horses or animals, there are suitable devices for humans as well.
For the sake of this review we will be discussing the MagnaWave B2.
The MagnaWave B2 is a PEMF controller that comes equipped with a paddle and mat attachment.
The mat attachment measures 18” x 23”, so it is not designed for full-body sessions, as other competitor mats provide.
The MagnaWave B2, along with all other MagnaWave products are strictly PEMF devices and do not include any other wellness therapies.
The MagnaWave B2 does not include any customized programming, although it comes with 8 pre-set programs.
The MagnaWave B2 emits one waveform, which is described as a rectangular wave that “rings out” with sawtooth waves.
This is the only information given on the waveform used by MagnaWave, which is rather odd, as no other waveform is described like this from any other brand.
The MagnaWave B2 uses a frequency range of .5 to 100 Hz, which cannot be manually adjusted.
Intensity is measured at an average of 500 Gauss.
MagnaWave promotes its high level intensity devices, but there is no evidence that supports high intensity being effective for humans.
Prices for the MagnaWave B2 are pretty expensive starting at $3,950.
This is higher than competitor prices that include more therapies and full-body mats.
There is a 30 day money-back guarantee that includes a restocking fee.
The 3 year warranty is impressive with a paid extended warranty for an additional 7 years.
